scope:
This Standard specifies requirements for round steel bars 1) and deformed steel bars 1) manufactured by hot rolling to be used as reinforcement in concrete. This Standard does not apply to rerolled steel bars for concrete reinforcement specified in JIS G 3117.
NOTE The International Standards corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.
ISO 6935-1:2007 Steel for the reinforcement of concrete-Part 1: Plain bars
ISO 6935-2:2019 Steel for the reinforcement of concrete-Part 2: Ribbed bars (overall evaluation: MOD)
In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standards and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/IEC Guide 21-1.
