This Standard specifies the methods for obtaining the total luminous flux and the quantities concerning the light source colour of white light emitting diode (LED) modules and LED light engines for general lighting (hereafter referred to as the light source under test), using an integrating sphere. This method is applicable to the photometry of double-capped linear LED lamp and LED luminaire.

The photometry of light sources for general lighting (including bulb-type LED lamps) shall be in accordance with JIS C 7801. Furthermore, see JIS C 8152-1 for the LED packages, and JIS C 8105-5 for the LED luminaires etc. using a light distribution measurement device.
