PURPOSE AND SCOPE
The application of Safety Rules and operational procedures on Equipment at the operational interface needs to be consistent and easily understood by staff. The Grid Code requires National Grid Electricity System Operator (NGESO) to produce Site Responsibility Schedules (SRS) for all Connection Sites to inform site operational staff and NGESO Control Engineers of agreed responsibilities for Plant and Apparatus at the operational interface (Grid Code Connection Conditions CC.7.3.1 ). For England and Wales, NGESO has procured NGET to prepare the SRSs on its behalf and obtain User signatures.
The format, principles and basic procedures for the preparation are detailed in Grid Code Connection Conditions Appendix 1 (CC.A.1).
As the SRSs are inter-company documents, Plant and Apparatus in the context of SRSs are as defined in the Grid Code not as defined in NGET Rules.
As NGET holds the transmission licence all SRSs shall refer to NGET. The requirements for SRSs is also stipulated in the STC and STCP 19-4 and this procedure facilitates compliance with these documents.
