Scope and Applicability.

The provisions of this instruction apply to all Navy Medicine staff. Subordinate activities to the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) will utilize this instruction and references (a) through (f) as guidance to implement and manage their diversity program.

Purpose.

To disseminate policy, assign responsibilities, and provide guidance on leveraging diversity to recruit, promote, and retain the best and brightest in support of Navy Medicine's mission. Enclosure (1) is provided for information and clarification.
