Scope and Applicability.

This instruction applies to all military (active duty and reserve), and civilian health care providers, including non-privileged clinical support staff, who are assigned to, employed by, contracted to, or employed within DON activities. This instruction does not apply to health care providers credentialed and privileged through Commander, Navy Installations Command per reference (d). Trainees in Navy Graduate Medical Education Programs per reference (e) are subject only to the reporting of professional misconduct as described in this instruction.
