Purpose.
To establish policies, procedures, and responsibilities for the assignment and performance of medical cognizance and liaison functions for Navy and Marine Corps active duty Service members and activated Navy and Marine Corps reserve component members hospitalized in non-naval medical treatment facilities (MTF) by a Navy Medicine MTF with the necessary capabilities to perform such duties.
