Responsibilities and Activities for Efficient Handover of Lift Projects

This guidance applies to all Lift work carried out within the MPD, R&E & AO Programmes, including new installations, replacement & refurbishment works.
The activities described within this document apply to all persons involved in the project who have input into handover activities.
For DLR and RfL, although they have their own standards and procedures, it is recommended that they follow the guidance stated in this document.
This document does not cover handover of a lift for beneficial use. Further guidance on this refer to G1935 Beneficial Use of Lifts.
The purpose of this document is to provide guidance on the key roles, responsibilities and actions necessary by persons within R&E, MPD, AO and Third-Party Contractors to ensure the timely and efficient handover of Lift projects as an integrated and seamless activity.
