active, Most Current
Organization: RTCA
Publication Date: 17 June 2021
Status: active
Page Count: 274

Section 2 describes the major UAS operational functions that are, or may be, performed during a flight. For the purpose of this section, a flight begins with initial mission planning and ends with aircraft shut down and final recovery. These operational functions include normal, emergency, and abnormal operations.

Through industry engagement, four scenarios were identified that represent near-term opportunities for the expansion of UAS operations and characterize the range and complexity of UAS operations.
