This Standard defines:
a) the performance and human interface requirements for Traction Earth Fault Detection and location Systems, other than those fitted to rolling stock;
b) the minimum acceptable safety, performance and maintenance conditions for the Traction Earth Fault Detection Systems, other than those fitted to rolling stock.
This standard applies to anyone that maintain or modify Earth Fault Detection Systems on London Underground. This standard also applies to anyone involved in extending or modifying London Underground lines.
Purpose
The purpose of this Standard is to define the minimum requirements for fixed equipment Traction Earth Fault Detection Systems.
