Guidelines applicable to aircraft Electrical Wiring Interconnect Systems (EWIS).
This handbook provides guidance and lessons learned in the troubleshooting of EWIS. This handbook is for guidance only and cannot be cited as a requirement.
Purpose.
This handbook is intended to provide a technician with ideas on how a given circuit may be tested and what type of test equipment might be used to perform the test. This handbook is not intended to be directive in nature or to cover every specific test set.
Precedence.
This handbook was developed only to supplement EWIS troubleshooting techniques. As such, the use of all or parts of the content herein does not supersede or replace the technical manuals that govern the applicable platform, system, or component. In the event of a conflict between this handbook and the documents listed in 1.3.a through 1.3.e, the documents listed below take precedence over the information given in this handbook. The order of precedence is as follows (refer to applicable manuals for identified order of precedence):
