This guidance applies to all staff involved in the design / modification of signalling Control systems on the Bakerloo, Central, Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines.

This guidance should be followed when planning and undertaking changes or modifications to existing systems on the Bakerloo, Central, Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines.

Purpose

This document defines the guidelines to assist in the additions to, and the maintenance of, existing Control systems used on the Bakerloo, Central, Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines. It also defines the design principles used in the development of the Control systems.

Note: Signalling Control systems are implemented either as a distributed computer system or as a set of Electronic Programme Machines and relays/electronic modules. This document is the code of practice relating to the application of computer systems for signalling control.
