Textiles — Determination of dynamic hygroscopic heat generation — Part 2: Test method for heat keeping index of generated heat by humidification

active, Most Current
Organization: JSA
Publication Date: 22 March 2021
Status: active
Page Count: 11
ICS Code (Textiles in general): 59.080.01
scope:

This Standard specifies the test method for the determination of the heat keeping index, which can be used as a measure to overview the generated hygroscopic heat temperature keeping property after the maximum generated hygroscopic heat temperature is reached for the phenomenon in which low then high humidity air is blown on one surface (skin-contact surface) of a textile and hygroscopic heat is generated. It is applicable to all kinds of sheet-shaped textile materials such as fabrics, knit and non-woven fabrics.

This test method is applicable to the textiles whose maximum generated hygroscopic heat temperature is at least 1.6 °C.
