This specification applies to steel conductor rails and steel conductor rail ramps using the arc-welding process on site. It does not apply to composite conductor rail.

This specification applies to all LU, TfL and contract staff responsible for delivery or undertaking of conductor rail arc welding.

Purpose

The purpose of this specification is to specify the requirements for repairing steel conductor rails and steel conductor rail ramps, and joining steel conductor rails to steel conductor rails and steel conductor rail ramps, using the arc-welding process on site.
