Scope: API Std. 6-D covers general specifications, including chemical and physical properties, major dimensions, and tests, on flanged-end disc gate valves, wedge gate valves, plug valves, and swing check valves, for line-pipe service at various working pressures. End-flange dimensions and bolting patterns are in accordance with ASA standards, and with API Std. 6-B: Ring-Joint Flanges.
This specification is "tentative" and the use of the API monogram is not permitted. Its use will be C'onsidered when this specification is adopted as final.
