PURPOSE AND SCOPE
DO-260C Change 1 includes updates, corrections, and additional material to support implementation of the Minimum Operational Performance Standards for 1090 MHz Extended Squitter Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast (ADS-B) and Traffic Information Services - Broadcast (TIS-B) DO-260C. The main item addressed in these changes is a modification to the Traffic Uplink Management Message in order to ensure backward compatibility with the Version 2 TIS-B/ADS-R Surface Status Message. Each section that includes changes is included in its entirety. The section numbers correspond to those contained in the published DO-260C MOPS.
