scope:
This Standard specifies the requirements for the hubs to be used for bicycles for general use, bicycles for young children and electric power assisted bicycles mainly specified in JIS D 9111. This Standard is not applicable to the electric power assisted bicycles in which a driving power assisting device is integrated with a hub.
NOTE The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.
ISO 6697 : 1994 Cycles - Hubs and freewheels - Assembly dimensions (MOD)
In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/IEC Guide 21-1.
