This Standard specifies, among the performance test methods listed in JIS A 1513, the method for testing the resistance of windows and doorsets to repeated opening and closing. It is not applicable to automatic doors.

NOTE The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.

ISO 8274 : 2005 Windows and doors - Resistance to repeated opening and closing - Test method (MOD)

In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/IEC Guide 21-1.
