This code shall provide fundamental safeguards for the installation, storage, use, and handling of compressed gases and cryogenic fluids in portable and stationary cylinders, containers, and tanks.

Purpose.

The purpose of this code shall be to provide a reasonable degree of protection of life and property from fire through standardization of practices for the installation, storage, use, and handling of compressed gases and cryogenic fluids.
