This Standard specifies requirements and tests for the safe operation of portable sealed secondary lithium cells and batteries, under intended use and reasonably foreseeable misuse.

IEC 62133-2 : 2017 Secondary cells and batteries containing alkaline or other non-acid electrolytes - Safety requirements for portable sealed secondary cells, and for batteries made from them, for use in portable applications - Part 2 : Lithium systems (MOD)
In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/IEC Guide 21-1.
