PURPOSE.
This Commandant Instruction provides policy and information related to meeting the requirements of Reference (a) as interpreted by Reference (b), and guided by Reference (c). The content of this Commandant Instruction is intended to direct Coast Guard managers regarding their responsibility to, through their active involvement, establish, maintain, review, improve, assess, and report on the effectiveness of internal controls within their respective organizations.
