This Standard applies to all running lines and depot areas of the London Underground Railway that are signalled using conventional or transmission based technology. Unless specifically stated to the contrary, a requirement applies to signalling and signalling control systems for both running lines and depot areas.
This Standard focuses on requirements for second stage of the lifecycle, Design and Implementation. The totality of requirements contained within the complete suite of signalling and signalling control standards (see 5.1.2) must be complied with for these systems.
The issue of this standard replaces 1-197A2
Purpose
The purpose of this Standard is to define the Signalling and Signalling Control Design and Implementation requirements which are mandatory to the design and modification of all Signalling Systems used anywhere on the London Underground Railway.
