scope:

This standard provides functional requirements to configuration and performance of drilling facilities. The standard also provides requirements to design, manufacturing, installation, testing and documentation of drilling facilities, their systems and equipment installed on fixed offshore installations, mobile offshore drilling units (MODUs), well intervention units and modular drilling rigs.

The requirements are based on the following well operations performed on the Norwegian Continental Shelf:

- drilling;

- completion;

- testing;

- workover;

- interventions;

- abandonment.

The standard also focuses on environmental footprint of drilling facilities and includes requirements to drilling waste handling, waste segregation and drain systems.
