This Standard specifies the technical requirements and inspection methods for the sieves of perforated metal plate used for the sieve analysis test of material in a state of powder and particle to be turned into a raw material, partially fabricated item or end product in the mining and manufacturing industries fields (hereafter referred to as test sieves). This Standard applies to the following test sieves having

- round holes, with sizes from 125 mm down to 1 mm, or

- square holes, with sizes from 125 mm down to 4 mm.

NOTE The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.

ISO 3310-2 : 2013 Test sieves - Technical requirements and testing - Part 2 : Test sieves of perforated metal plate (MOD)

In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/IEC Guide 21-1.
