This procedure applies to Network Rail maintenance staff who undertake signalling preventative or corrective maintenance or manage staff who undertake these activities.

Purpose

This document details the process so that signalling defects that have been found during preventative or corrective maintenance and cannot be corrected at the time of their discovery are entered on the Ellipse system and are managed to conclusion according to the engineering standard NR/L2/SIG/19807.
