The specification applies to all individuals who undertake electrical safety duties on Network Rail managed infrastructure.
This standard covers the following types of Overhead Line Equipment (OLE)systems:
• All 25kV a.c. OLE, including Auto Transformer
• Sunderland Extension - 1500V d.c. OLE
• Sheffield Tram Train - 750V d.c. OLE
Purpose
This standard sets out the minimum requirements for electrical safety training. It defines the processes to be implemented and the standards that will be achieved to confirm that individuals who undertake electrical safety duties are competent to perform the work.
