scope:

This module provides an overview of the processes and systems involved in planning maintenance work activities, so they are delivered safely, efficiently, and productively aligned with Network Rail compliance and business requirements. 

This module provides a standard process to: 

a) produce a robust Section Plan to safely and efficiently deliver work; and

b) conduct a weekly Section Planning Meeting (SPM)

It applies to:

a) Maintenance Engineer 

b) Section Manager 

c) Supervisor(s) 

d) Section Planner and Section Planner/ Administrator 

e) Section Administrator

f) Technical Support 

g) Person in Charge (PIC)

NOTE: Where Section Planner is referred to in this module this also includes the Section Planner/ Administrator Role, and anyone delegated to carry out Planning Activities.
