This standard applies to the following types of points on London Underground (LU) network:

Four-Foot (bull head and flat bottom); Four Foot shallow depth; Six-Foot; Chairlock; Clamplock (hydraulic, pneumatic and movable angle); Power Facing Spring Trailing; Contactless; Switchlock; Style 63; HW1000; Wide To Gauge Single Switch; Movable Angle Six-Foot; Movable Angle Chairlock; Surelock (Four Foot and Six Foot); Four-Foot Slips (single and double); Single Switch, Swing Nose and Unistar points.

This standard applies to all those engaged in the maintenance of points on the LU system need to use this standard. It shall be used when designing maintenance regimes for points on the LU system.

Purpose

The purpose of this standard is to define the minimum routine maintenance requirement for points.
