This standard applies to all persons, including contractors, engaged to carry out works on Network Rail Infrastructure. It is intended to reduce the risk of damage to buried services during the process of carrying out ground penetration works on the Railway Infrastructure.
Purpose
This standard sets out the Network Rail Infrastructure Investment process for locating buried services prior to ground penetration.
This standard must be read in conjunction with NR/WI/BUS/00114 Buried Services Data Provision and NR/L3/INI/CP0024 Control and Use of Metal Pins and Spikes on Network Rail Infrastructure.
