Scope and Applicability.

This instruction applies to all United States Navy commands, activities and personnel involved in the Navy MUSE program.

Purpose

a. To update and delineate specific responsibilities for managing the Mobile Utilities Support Equipment (MUSE) Program.

b. Summary of changes to the instruction include revised definitions; clarification on requirement to conduct an annual budget review with Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV) Director, Installations Division (N4I); updated roles and responsibilities; and clarification of transportation funding responsibility for user activities. This instruction is a complete revision and should be reviewed in its entirety.
