Scope and Applicability.

This instruction applies to all Service members and eligible dependents who are pending transfer to commands outside of the continental United States. All commands must be familiar with the content of this instruction and how it will affect Sailors within their command.

Purpose.

To publish Navy policy and guidance for determining suitability of Navy Service Members and dependents for overseas or remote duty assignments per references (a) and (b), as directed by references (c) through (k). This instruction is a complete revision and should be reviewed in its entirety.
