scope:
Purpose. To implement the provisions of references (a) through (i), and to issue policies, prescribe procedures, and assign responsibilities for identification, enrollment, and administrative and family support of the Navy Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP). This instruction has been modified to update references and responsibilities, to clarify language on geographic area and the type of care available, and incorporate new format requirements as part of an annual review.
Applicability. All Navy Service members who have a dependent(s) with special needs, as defined in this instruction.
