scope:
This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies requirements for the vacuum insulation panels (VIPs) for buildings which use silica particles, etc. and glass wool core as core material. It is not applicable to VIPs used under special hygrothermal environment such as cold storage warehouses, or to those used for facility equipment, piping, etc. in residences and buildings.
NOTE 1 Some VIPs for buildings have unfolded edges.
NOTE 2 A list of technically significant revisions from the previous edition with reasons is given in Annex B.
