PURPOSE AND SCOPE. The MSFC Emergency Plan establishes policies, responsibilities, and authority for maintaining a state of readiness with respect to disastrous situations that could confront MSFC and surrounding areas. The Plan provides expeditious courses of action to be taken in minimizing the effects of an emergency or disaster on Center personnel and property and to furnish support to local communities and the Department of Defense, when requested. The Incident Command System is used in varying degrees.
