The contents of this specification relate to the suite of telecoms maintenance instructions that detail the maintenance required by Network Rail on its telecommunication assets.

Purpose

This specification sets out the maintenance and management responsibilities for persons engaged in the maintenance of telecommunication equipment used by Network Rail.

The purpose of undertaking maintenance is to ensure that Network Rail's assets are in good order, to decrease the incident of failures through deterioration and to identify potential failures before they become service effecting.
