La presente Norma classifica i gruppi di parametri ambientali e le loro severità ai quali sono assoggettati i prodotti se montati per uso in posizione fissa, in modo permanente o temporaneo, in luoghi non protetti dalle intemperie inclusi i periodi di montaggio, immobilizzazione, manutenzione e riparazione.
Le condizioni ambientali specificate nella presente Norma sono quelle che possono influenzare il funzionamento dei prodotti ma non viene data nessuna speciale descrizione dei loro effetti sui prodotti.
