This instruction applies to the DON commissioned officers in paygrades O2 through O8 on the Active Duty List (ADL) and the Reserve Active Status List (RASL), Limited Duty Officers (LDO) and Chief Warrant Officers (CWO).
Purpose. To establish Department of the Navy (DON) guidance and procedures on the rules governing the frocking of commissioned officers to ensure compliance with Federal law and Department of Defense (DoD) policy.
