scope:
Purpose
a. To set forth criteria governing shipboard stowage space requirements for supply support material.
b. The requirements addressed in this directive apply to stowage spaces required for self support and have been expanded to include the following items: equipment related repair parts (including classified repair parts), other consumables, hazardous materials (HAZMAT), medical stores, ship store stock, and provisions (including frozen, chilled and dry). They do not apply to bulk fuel and ammunition stowage spaces.
