Organization: DIN
Publication Date: 1 September 2012
Status: active
Page Count: 15
ICS Code (Fibres and cables): 33.180.10
scope:

This standard is applicable for measurement of fiber optic components and products for image and data transmission (distances up to 100 m) as well as for transmission of light and optical radiation in the near infrared and ultraviolet spectral range.

The standard is not applicable for fiber optic components and products, intended for telecommunication and data transmission over distances > 100 m.

Purpose of this Standard is to fix a standardised procedure to determine the spectral transmission degree of light guides with end surfaces perpendicular to the axis of the light guide.
