This Standard specifies five methods for determining the ozone resistance of the outer cover of hoses.

Method A : applicable to hose of 25 mm or under in inside diameter, and carried out on a hose-shape test piece

Method B : applicable to hose of over 25 mm in inside diameter, and carried out on a test piece sampled from hose

Method C : applicable to hose of over 25 mm in inside diameter, and carried out on a test piece sampled from outer cover of hose

Method D : carried out on a hose-shape test piece, regardless of inside diameter

Method E : applicable to expandable hose such as textile-reinforced, and carried out on a hose-shape test piece, regardless of inside diameter

NOTE: The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.

ISO 7326 : 2006 Rubber and plastics hoses - Assessment of ozone resistance under static conditions (MOD)

In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/IEC Guide 21-1.
