This Standard applies to the design, test and assurance requirements for fire detection systems installed on Metronet (MR) stations, depots and tunnels. The objective is to demonstrate compliance with the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2006, Fire Precautions (Sub-surface railway stations) Regulations (retained under Article 24 of the RRO, and Building Regulations 2000 as appropriate. This standard applies to MR and suppliers staff in respect to MR controlled assets.

Purpose

The purpose of this Standard is to give project managers, designers and contractors guidance on the level of testing, applicable standards and assurance documentation required by MR to demonstrate compliance with relevant Regulations and Engineering Standards.
