This document specifies the hazard index system for the management of safety related reports for all telecomunications failures for equipment and services provided by Network Rail Company or third parties (including bought in equipment or services).

Where Network Rail agrees to manage equipment not belonging to Network Rail or away from Network Rail infrastructure, the arrangements described in this document shall also be applied to such equipment.

This specification meets the requirements of Group Standard GE/RT8106 .

Purpose

This document contains the hazard index system of safety related failures of telecommunications equipment and services, owned by Network Rail or provided by third parties for railway operational purposes.

The hazard index system directly relates to NR/L2/SIG/10047.
