scope:

This Standard specifies elbow crutches as assistive product for walking with one leg, which consists of a forearm support and a handgrip.

NOTE 1 The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.

ISO 11334-1:2007 Assistive products for walking manipulated by one arm-Requirements and test methods-Part 1: Elbow crutches (MOD)

In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/lEC Guide 21-1.

NOTE 2 Lofstrand crutches are included in elbow crutches.
