Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Verfahren für die Bestimmung der Viskosität von sowohl Naturkautschuklatexkonzentrat als auch Synthesekautschuklatices durch das Brookfield-Verfahren fest. Dieses Verfahren ist ebenso geeignet für die Bestimmung der Viskosität von Naturlatex anderer Herkunft als Hevea brasiliensis als auch von Compound-Latices. Andere Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Viskosität sind im Anhang A erwähnt.
