scope:
This standard deals with the installation of electrical supply systems (i.e. power and communications systems) in buildings rated for voltages up to 36 kV. It also applies to such systems that are installed outside buildings but are supplied with power from within.
This standard does not cover the equipment as such.
DIN 18299 clauses 1 to 5 shall also apply. In cases where the specifications of DIN 18299 contradict the present standard, the latter shall take precedence.
