scope:
This standard deals with dry lining and partitioning work.
It covers in particular the making of open or closed ceiling linings and suspended ceilings, wall linings, dry plasterwork, facing panels and partitions, including those which are fire resistant, prefabricated screed, dry subfloors, floor systems, and the fitting of doors, frames and other fitments in the above constructions.
This standard does not cover
- carpentry (cf. DIN 18334);
- plastering and rendering (cf. DIN 18350);
- laying of floor screed (cf. DIN 18353);
- joinery (cf. DIN 18355)
- metalwork (cf. DIN 18360);
- painting and coating work (cf. DIN 18363);
- flooring work (cf. DIN 18365).
Clauses 1 to 5 of DIN 18299 shall also apply. In cases where the specifications of DIN 18299 contradict the present standard, the latter shall take precedence.
