This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the method of test for measuring the air content of fresh concrete by the volumetric method.
This Standard is applicable to the concrete containing coarse aggregate with a maximum size not more than 50 mm. When the concrete containing coarse aggregate with a maximum size of more than 50 mm is used, the sample subjected to wet screening is used for the measurement, and the air content should be obtained by the calculation.
This Standard is also applicable to the concrete using porous aggregate such as the artificial lightweight aggregate concrete.
