This Standard specifies photometric performance requirements for cobra-head-style luminaires that are used for roadway lighting applications and that use 70 to 400 W high-pressure sodium (HPS) lamps. Note: Future editions of this Standard might include other light sources such as metal halide and LED lamps

This Standard is based on

(a) average luminance, luminance uniformity ratio, and veiling luminance ratio as defined in ANSI/IESNA RP-8;

(b) rated lamp watts; and

(c) rated lamp lumens.

This Standard applies only to clear lamps.
