scope:

This Standard applies to any individual who performs the activity of Protection Master - Engineering Hours (PM-EH) or Protecting Workers on the Track - Engineering Hours (PWT-EH).

The competence requirements apply to any individual employed within the London Underground Group of companies or their suppliers and their subcontractors who carry out the activity of Protection Master - Engineering Hours (PM-EH) or Protecting Workers on the Track - Engineering Hours (PWT-EH), regardless of job title, grade or position.

This activity constitutes 'Safety Critical Work' as defined by the Railways and Other Guided Transport Systems (Safety)Regulations 2006 Part 4 (as amended 2011)

Purpose 

The purpose of this Standard is to set out the competence requirements for any individual performing the activity of Protection Master -Engineering Hours (PM-EH) or Protecting Workers on the Track - Engineering Hours (PWT-EH).
