This guidance applies to anyone who carries out or manages those that carry out 'safety critical activities' as defined by the Railway and Other Guided Transport Systems (Safety) Regulations 2006 (as amended) (ROGS).
This guidance document covers the activities of Protecting Workers on the Track-Engineering Hours (PWT-EH), Protecting Workers on the Track-Traffic Hours (PWT-TH), Protecting Workers on the Track-Train Movements (PWT-TM) and Possession Master.
Purpose
The purpose of this guidance document is to provide supplementary information to London Underground (LU) standards S1421 Management, and competency requirements for staff that undertake protection activities.
