These requirements cover household refrigerators and freezers that employ a refrigerant that has been identified as having flammable characteristics.
These requirements do not apply to household refrigerators and freezers that employ ammonia as the refrigerant.
The requirements in this supplement are in addition to the applicable requirements in the Standard for Household Refrigerators and Freezers, UL 250/CSA C22.2 No. 63.
